Here are two good articles - although they are at a high level they're a good place to start

I've also found the man pages to be very useful.

Hi There,
Does anyone know of any published texts on Nessus, or some good documentation on all the features, internals, etc.? Basically something besides what is found on nessus.org.
Thanks,
