The reason I ask is because nessus is acting a bit strange for me. takes forever to login, then when it tries to scan, it instantly goes to the empty results window. i thought the bpf thing was the culprit. what is the workaround?

thanks,

hi, i don't recall where i found the info, but i remember reading

i am recompiling my kernel anyway, does anyone remember what this
recommendation was or have a link to it?

The recommendation used to be to add more bpf's (instead of 4). However this is now outdated, as a workaround has been developped.
