1) I recently scanned a host twice with the exact same settings and got two different results. Specifically, in the first scan it listed only three udp ports as well as the general/udp listing. In the second scan, it listed approximately 70 udp ports. Also some ports that were listed in the first scan didn't even show up in the second scan. Shouldn't the results be a little more consistent?
2) Regarding the udp information listed above; for each one it says "No Information" in the "Issure Regarding Port" column. Does this mean that the port is open, filtered, closed, or what?
3) Does the Nessus report show all open TCP ports or does it just show them if there is a vulnerability associated with it? I assume by default Nessus scans TCP (and UDP only if the option is checked) - right?
Thanks for your help.
M.
