Thanks for your support & integration of OSVDB IDs into Nessus. We're looking forward to a tight relationship between Nessus and OSVDB, and think both projects can provide significant value to each other. The list of "stable" OSVDB entries mapped to Nessus plugins is coming shortly (if it hasn't been generated already), so the wait shouldn't be long. Additionally, since we are also mapping Snort SIDs, CVE, etc., mapping of Nessus to Snort should be trivial in the future (there was a recent discussion here about triggering Nessus plugins based on Snort alerts, if I recall correctly). We will also be adding functionality to the osvdb.org web site to retrieve a list of remote exploits that don't have Nessus plugins associated with them. This will hopefully provide a concise list of opportunities for new plugins (or corrected mappings), and help make Nessus greater than it already is. Regards, Sullo P.S. I'd also like to mention that OSVDB is still seeking volunteers to help the project succeed. Please stop by if you can--we could use further assistance in many areas of the project. -- http://www.cirt.net/ | http://www.osvdb.org/ _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
