UNCLASSIFIED Solaris running on a sparc platform. Every time I launch nessus against a host, nessusd.messages fills up with errors like the following
[Tue Apr 13 10:28:36 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 1 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:37 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 2 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:39 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 3 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:42 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 4 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:46 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 5 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:51 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 6 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:28:57 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 7 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:29:04 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 8 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:29:12 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 9 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:29:21 2004][20273] fork() failed - sleeping 10 seconds [Tue Apr 13 10:29:31 2004][20273] fork() failed too many times - aborting Any suggestions? Clearly there is some resource lock which is preventing nessus from running the scan, but I need a bit more information to figure out which resource is locking -------------------------- Nothing is ever lost by courtesy. It is the cheapest of the pleasures; costs nothing and conveys much. It pleases him who gives and him who receives, and thus, like mercy, it is twice blessed. ~ Erastus Wiman ~ _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
