Be aware that there have been reports of problems with Nessus, nmap, and
Suse 9.0 in the past; eg:
http://mail.nessus.org/pipermail/nessus/2004-March/001213.html
Upgrading the kernel to 2.4.21-199 seems to fix those problems, although
I don't have any first-hand experience there.

The nmap plugin (nmap_wrapper.nes) gets installed as part of
nessus-plugins; you should already have it in the nessus plugins
directory. When reading plugins, nessusd will ignore it unless nmap is
found in the current PATH. Thus, to add it you simply need to make sure
the PATH nessusd sees when it starts includes the new nmap binary and
then restart nessusd, either by stopping / starting it or by sending
the process a HUP signal.
