Hello Jimmy, I think what you are likely running is the .rpm we provided with the Lightning Console and may not work with RedHat 7.x. I believe we previously may have distributed a RH-7/8 .rpm as a beta test, and I know we had a RH-9 .rpm but with RedHat dropping support of 7/8 last December and 9 this May, we sunsetted our support of those distros as well.
It's possible you have a ES-2.1, ES 3.0 or a FC-1 .rpm and it is failing on your RH-7.2 install. Apologies and if you have Lightning questions feel free to forward them to our support group. While we did stop supporting RH7/8, I can offer you the last .rpm we supported from it (TenableNessus-2.0.10-rh8.0.i386.rpm), this is a viable rpm for both 7/8. I hope you'll understand that no support is offered and that the Nessus list will be unlikely to be able to help beyond configuration issues and NASL results questions. The installation in the lab I allows the Tenable Lightning installation run the nessus-installation.sh and in the field I am doing it myself as I don't have proxy configuration yet... Other than that I do not see any differences in the configurations... it is just that nessusd will die within a minute of starting in the field... and runs all day long in the lab.
