I am looking for the pros and cons of running Snort on the same box as Nessus. Using a workstation class PC with a 3.4ghz CPU and 1gb of RAM running Linux Redhat 9.0. Second interface for Snort would be on a different segment (backbone) in stealth mode. Is this a bad idea, or will I be okay.
