Hi,

I am having the a problem when I try to install Net::Nessus::Client; I
get during the test part of the installation (via perl -MCPAN -eshell)
the following output:

PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib
-I/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux -I/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 -e 'use
Test::Harness qw(&runtests $verbose); $verbose=0; runtests @ARGV;' t/*.t

make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 2

On somebody's suggestion I did a regular "make install" outside Perl
which obviously worked.
In order to test the install I used the "nessusc" script that comes with
this package.
The result was:
#>nessusc --port=1241 --user=XXXX --password=YYYY
Cannot connect to the Nessus server running at 127.0.0.1, port 1241:
Error while requesting NTP proto 1.1: Bad file descriptor at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Net/Nessus/Client.pm line 151.

I looked into the Client.pm package to see where it went wrong. I
determined that the telnet session succeeded but it went wrong when the
string "< NTP/1.1 >" was written to the socket. So Imanually did:

#>telnet localhost 1241

A connection was established; as soon as I sent the string "< NTP/1.1 >"
to the session I got "Connection closed by foreign host".

Has anybody an idea why this happens, as I am out of ideas here.

Thanks,
