With the new Nikto and Nmap NASL implementations added yesterday, how does that affect the existing .nes implementations? If I have a .nessusrc file with both #10336 (Nmap .nes) and #14259 (Nmap NASL) set to "yes" will it run Nmap twice during the scan? If not, which one is actually used?
Same question for the two Nikto plugins (#10864 and #14260)... What if, for example, I have one of them set to "yes" and the other one set to "no" - will it just run Nikto/Nmap once? What is the difference between the .nes and NASL implementations (other than the obvious language they are written in)? Do the new NASL implementations work on the stable 2.0.x Nessus branch? Are both implementations going to stick around, or is one getting depricated? ~Jay -- .. .. Jay Jacobson .. Edgeos, Inc. - 480.961.5996 - http://www.edgeos.com .. .. Network Security Auditing and ..
