Hello,

Did you figure this out? After I installed Nessus, I was able to do a successful port scan once. But then it stopped working (the port scan progress bar never starts). Sounds like same results as you. But if I run nmap, that works. Any answers?

Thanks,

Josh.

No way o have a nmap scan working. I'm trying against one single host and after 3 minutes I still have a 0% in nessus client:

root 26557 26551 0 17:42 ? 00:00:00 nessusd: testing xx.xx.xx
root 26558 26557 0 17:42 ? 00:00:00 nessusd: testing xx.xx.xx (/usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/nmap_wrapper.nes)
root 26559 26558 0 17:42 ? 00:00:00 nmap -n -P0 -p 1-65535 -sS -O --osscan_guess -r xx.xx.xx

Instead if I launch the same nmap options with the command line I have the correct result in less the 30 seconds.
