Hi there -- I am trying to create the nessus certificate using the nessus-mkcert script. However I am consistently getting an error message saying the script was unable to create the certificate file. I checked the openssl-output file and here is what I found:
Generating RSA private key, 1024 bit long modulus ..............................................................++++++ .++++++ e is 65537 (0x10001) You are about to be asked to enter information that will be incorporated into your certificate request. What you are about to enter is what is called a Distinguished Name or a DN. There are quite a few fields but you can leave some blank For some fields there will be a default value, If you enter '.', the field will be left blank. ----- Country Name (2 letter code) [FR]:State or Province Name (full name) [Some-State]:Locality Name (eg, city) []:Organization Name (eg, company) [Internet Widgits Pty Ltd]:Organizational Unit Name (eg, section) []:problems making Certificate Request 24892:error:0D07A097:asn1 encoding routines:ASN1_mbstring_copy:string too long:a_mbstr.c:154:maxsize=64 I have openssl-0.9.7e running on a Fedora Core 3 system. I tried running the above script as root and sudo user. Anyone have any ideas what is going on?
