Subject: Getting Nessus Plugins Through a Proxy
Hi all,
I am installing new Nessus from source on a SuSE SLES 8 system. I have
trouble getting updated plugins. Nessus-update-plugins fails on the
nessus-fetch command. It times out saying: Could not open connection to
www.nessus.org - Socket operation on non-socket
I looked in nessus-fetch.1 and it talks about creating a file named
nessus-fetch.rc with the proxy information, but it doesn't tell me where
the file should go. Where should I put the file? (Be polite!)
BTW, there is no nessus-fetch man page, but nessus-fetch.1looks like a man
page. Shouldn't the man page be built with the install?
Thanks for the help,
tom

Toto, I have a feeling we're not in the mainframe world any more.
