(Nonetheless this statement is important).

The currently asked questions on old version come
from the fact that those people use old downloads,
not downloads of old versions. So, maybe having
old versions on a ftp server will not significantly
add to the number of incoming email requests about
old versions.

It is the same situation as with many Free Software projects.
Best practice is to give a one-line answer: "update nessus to
current version and retry". Everyone here could do that,
so it does not put the burden entirely to Renaud.
