Hi,

I'm looking for a way to verify SMB credentials before performing a scan.
Currently I do this by using a Windows laptop to connect to the C$ share on the
target system. This works fine, but I'd now like to automate this. One option
is to do a Nessus scan using just plugin 10400/10394. I wondered if anyone knew
a more lightweight way to do this. Unfortunately, it seems these plugins can't
work standalone, as functions in the .inc files depend on KB keys filled by
other plugins.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul
