Nessus 2 continues to be GPL'ed and continues to evolve over time. It
just won't incorporate the new NASL3 engine. However, 99% of the
plugins will be compatible between Nessus2 and Nessus3.
You can read the mailing list archives if you want more info, or even
better - wait until the official release of Nessus 3.
