You need to configure your proxy in nessus-fetch.rc :
edit /usr/local/etc/nessus/nessus-fetch.rc
and include the following info (replacing with your proxy info in it) :
proxy=192.168.1.1
proxy_port=8080
proxy_username=yourLogin
proxy_password=yourPassword
login=
password=
