hi,
i'm running freebsd 5.4 and since i'm curious i
downloaded installed the package listed above. first i
installed the nessus package, didn't check for error
output...
i setup the user account and i copied the 2 .pem
certificates file from the /tmp directory to the /, (i
didn't know where else to put them). i then tested the
command line option -q; generated a report and i'm now
trying to decipher it. next i tried compiling the
nessusclient; that went okay when i realized i should
use gmake. didn't see any error messages after
compile so i hunted down the nessusclient binary and
ran it. like the interface btw...
after playing with it awhile i got the plugins to
load, i did see an error message but was too late to
capture it. so now when i try to scan with the gui
through the connect to server dialog i get an ssl
error and have to click ok on the message box.
i really tried looking at the archives and only came
across one item that might be it, however i'm a "by
your gut" kinda newbie and i don't think i'll get any
further without assistance. i have appended the errors
from the client since i was actually smart enough to
start it in a term. i thank you in advance for your
