I enabled logging of loading the plugins in the config file and restarted nessusd hoping to see errors/warnings to get a clue what's going on but all I see is 517 plugins loaded and nessusd starting cleanly.  The plugins loaded seem random i.e. not the first 517 files in the plugin directory for example.  Is there anything else controlling what plugins are loaded or a way I can debug this?  Does the client have anything to do with it?  I'm grasping at straws here as I'm running out of ideas.  Would posting my config file help at all?   My next step is to uninstall including config files and do a clean reinstall.

Yes I do have the plugin feed inc file:

cat plugin_feed_info.inc
PLUGIN_SET = "200510251215";
PLUGIN_FEED = "Registered (7 days delay)";

One unexpected issue I noticed is that the plugins directory including all files in it have owner/group of the user who runs our scans.  I thought they would be owned by root.

I'm running on Fedora 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 BTW

How did you install Nessus ? Do you have a plugin called
plugin_feed_info.inc ?
