I'm seeing a number of false positives when doing a full vulnerability scan against a windows system using administrative privileges on the target. I have ensured I have updated plugins. Examples:
14728 (Mozilla/Firefox, recommends upgrading to Firefox 0.10.0 -- the installed version is 1.5.0.3) 14729 (Mozilla/Thunderbird, recommends upgrading to Thunderbird 0.8 -- the installed version is 1.5) 16328 (WMP9, recommends installing an MS patch -- according to the referenced MS article this doesn't apply to WinXP SP2) 16332 (MS OfficeXP, recommends installing a patch -- the installed version is MS Office 2003) The system in question has never had those vulnerable versions on it. Is this known/expected behavior? Tim Doty Systems Security Analyst UMR IT
