Generally, such problems occur because of how the port scanners have
been configured; try configuring ping_host.nasl (plugin #10180) for TCP
pings using the "built-in" or "extended" port range (alternatively, you
could use ICMP since you say it works (from your nessusd host??)) along
with Nessus' TCP scanner (#10335).

If this doesn't help, please provide specific information about the
problem, such as scanner configuration and log / KB info corresponding
to a target host.
