        Thanks for your reply, that was the entire error message, 11Gig
free on the filsystem, and after running nessus-update-plugins -vv, the
output all looked fine, until the /opt/Nessus/bin/Nessus-fetch
--plugins, the process sat there at that point for 15 minutes, and
eventually downloaded the plugins ok! 

Don't you just hate that! I will try running the update manually again
tomorrow, see if I get the same response.

What does the command 'df' return? Could one of your filesystems be
close to full? What do you see when you run: nessus-update-plugins -vv
