What's reported in nessusd.messages when you submit a scan?

Create a new scope in NessusClient.

There have been several examples recently of commandline scans posted to
the mailing list; eg,

  http://mail.nessus.org/pipermail/nessus/2006-May/msg00019.html

You will need some other means, though, to enable plugins.

The problem, though, is unlikely to be the client per se but rather the
configuration you've chosen for the scan. The log entries should provide
some idea where to look.
