Pat,

Why are you not just exposing the sever to a on-to-one Nat (Your remote
location to the Nessus server and back) and then use the Windows client
direct or you could use the Unix client direct as well. The
authentication source to the server and the one-2-one Nat denies remote
access from anyone else. Nessus Client talks on specific port and can be
even further locked-down by hat as well.

Just my humble opinion.

Subject: Nessus web interface

Hi list,

I'm conducting vulnerability assessment from my home office, my Nessus
server being on a remote RedHat box running under VMware (okay, not
supported, not performant, but still, it does a good job !)
I'm running the client right from the linux box through the VMWare
console
(sort of remote desktop, or carbon copy, ...)
This is working ok, but the screen refreshes are desperately slow.

This is why I'm searching a web interface for Nessus that could be used
to
set up params, and then launch the scan in the background
The only one that appears to do so is Inprotect. Unfortunately, the
website appears to be out of business (it redirects to Google)

Does anybody have heard of a similar tool ?

Cheers
