Hi,

I've installed Nessus 3.0.3 and NessusClient on a Fedora Core 5 box running in VMWare (Windows XP host). My goal is to have Nessus scan the entire network to generate appropriate KB entries and find valid hosts ("Ping remote hosts" off), and then use that list from then on with the KB option "Test only hosts that have been tested in the past".

I'm using a newline delimited text file to specify hosts. Running a scan on a single ip address works fine, all the vulnerabilities that should show up do. Then, I add another host to the text file, run the scan again, and get less vulnerabilities for the first host. Then, I run the same scan again, and it reports back the original (larger) number.

Is this just a limitation of Nessus? I'm not changing any configuration options in between these scans except the target.
