Hello list,

I hope I use the correct place to report this.

After a scan (Nessus 2.2.8 Debian) I received this response:

An unknown server is running on this port.
If you know what it is, please send this banner to the Nessus team:

x30:

I have more information about this server, it is the meta server for the game
Pioneers.
I am one of the developers. The server is always listening on port 5557/tcp.
I'm not aware of security issues (yet...), other than a configuration that
could potentially cause harm by executing a limited number of child processes
(but that is an intentional setup). I can provide more details, if needed.

Another issue: In find_service2.nasl for the string 'version report' it states
that a gnocatan game server is running on this port, but it is nowadays
actually a Pioneers game server (Gnocatan has been renamed to Pioneers in
June 2005).

Regards,
Roland Clobus
Developer for Pioneers
