i have remove clean up the packages.
i have downloaded the 'nessus installer" on web site , and compiled it on my box.
all is working now. dunno why the 'yum install" has not correctly setup the packages.

If you don't get a response here or by contacting the Fedora package
maintainer(s), consider using either the packaged version of Nessus 3.x
for FC5 that Tenable provides or our installer to build a copy of Nessus
2.x locally, both available from:
http://www.nessus.org/download/
