I'm not the original poster, but I'm seeing the same problem with the Windows version. From the log files, and the time it takes before I get the error, it appears that the scans complete before the message comes up. I haven't been using Nessus for vary long. It may have been failing occassionally from the start, but its definitely gotten worse recently. The program hasn't been updated since I started using it, but the plugins have been (several times). My scan machine runs Win/2K and I have not done anything to the default Nessus configuration other than defining policies to pick plugins and enter credentials. I'll do the netstat test Tuesday (Monday is a holiday). Restarting the service and rebooting didn't help. _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [email protected] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
