It was suggested that I install msxml6.msi (done), and DOTNETFX (done). I am still having the same problems as below. It appears that as the install starts to create the desktop icon, and add the nessus service - ut fails. I let the message error sit on the desktop before answering "ok" button, and I am able to download the plugins, add-users, run scan and it works - even creates reports. Once I hit the"ok" button - nessus is removed. Any guidance is appreciated.
