Hi list
I've seen reference to the above issue on Google and this forum but have not
managed to find a fix to my own problem.
I am using the NessusWX client on Windows to connect to a remote Nessusd
server (listening on localhost and accessed via ssh port forwarding using
putty on Windows). I have successfully established the ssh connection and
tested via web browser via HTTPS to the Inprotect Web interface to Nessus.
Works fine and I can log in without difficulties. So I fire up the NessusWX
client, point to the locally forwarded port in question and attempt to
login. I receive the server host key and I'm then informed that the:
"Server doesn't support NTP/1.2 protocol. Connection Terminated".
So I moved to the Nessus client for Linux using ssh for my port forwarding
this time and I get a similar mesage "Remote host is not using the good
version of the Nessus communication protocol (1.2) or is tcpwrapped". I have
tried all combinations of TLS and SSL provided in the client without
success. I see reference to problems with client certificates in some
postings but I am only using ssl certs on the server side.
Any help would be appreciated.
Mike.
