Here is my situation. I'm running nessusd v. 3.0.5 on linux I'm unable to connect to it with the Windows nessus client v. 3.
I can connect to the nessusd from another linux box using the 2.9 client just fine. Troubleshooting things I've done. I've tried restarting the nessusd daemon on the nessusd server. I've updated the plugins on the Windows client -- shouldn't have to since I'm using the plugins on the server. Error message on the windows client gives possible causes: Nessus server service not running -- But it is Nessus server service needs to be restarted -- Tried that didn't help Nessus plugins are corrupt or not up to date -- Not true see above Remote Nessus Serverr not running or misconfigured -- Not true see above Remote Nessus Server credentials are incorrect -- I'm entering the right username and pw Any help would be appreciated.
