nessus 3.0.5 is only supported on redhat 3 and 4 as far as redhat platforms
go, although there is fedora and some others. I'm going to take a guess here
that it's just not going to work on redhat 9, because that's a long time
ago, the compilers and libraries are out of date, and they don't offer
source for 3.0.5
Red Hat 3 is pretty equivalent to RHL-9. I would upgrade to RHEL-3 or
Centos-3 and use the nessus-3.0.5 on that.
