This isn't specific to nessus as such. If you are on linux setup a cronjob,
on windows a scheduled task. There is frequent discussion of how to setup
cronjobs and wrapper scripts to handle various needs, a search of the list
should be informative.

Subject: Executing specific tests at the command line

I have a requirement to run some specific tests at certain intervals. How
do I setup the nessus configuration files to do this? For example, I want
to ping a host and execute all of the MS-SQL tests against the device. I
can't seem to find an answer.

I am quite content with editing a file to do what I need, since this is only
periodic audit work I use it for and doing batch jobs on the Nessus server
works just fine since there is a lot of address space to deal with.

Thanks,

Chris
