Many of these tools will also manage your scans. The product from Tenable is named the Security Center and you can see videos and demos of it at http://www.tenablesecurity.com. I'm not sure if you are looking for a tool, or looking to program a tool, but as it was pointed out, XML is just one of the formats. Whichever is easiest for you to program with you should use. I speak to a lot of our customers and users of Nessus who put the Nessus data into spread sheets. You can load up XML documents into Excel and do a variety of manipulations of the data.
