What happens when you use the nodename of the scanner instead of the
loopback? I had that problem and used the nodename and it worked. Or
maybe recreate the cert with /usr/local/sbin/nessus-mkcert

Subject: Nessus on command line

Version of nessus I'm using: 3.0.5

I'm trying to launch a scan from the command line and Nessus keeps
asking me to approve the ssl certificate. When I hit "y"
it spits back Invalid server certificate.

command syntax I'm using:
/opt/nessus/bin/nessus -c <config file> -V -q 127.0.0.1 user pasword
target_list report.html &

When I try and do the above I get an ssl error that says:
[6027] SSL_connect: error:14094410:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3
alert handshake failure and then everything craps out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim
