Hello, I'm looking for a little help with installing version 3.0.6 on Windows 2K3 Server. It appears to install fine when running the installer... all the way up to the end. Right after it gets to the point where it says it's registering and starting services the installer stops with an error:
"InstallShield Wizard Complete The wizard was interrupted before Tenable Nessus could be completely installed. The system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation again." If you click Finish and check the Program Files directory, the Tenable->Nessus->logs directory is there, with the single file "server.log", and inside the file is the single line: "[Wed Jul 04 12:43:28 2007][1728] Nessus Service started" But there is no service registered at all if you check the Services in Windows. Likewise, the file above is seemingly the only one that was installed. There don't appear to be any files in the Documents and Settings->Administrator->Local Settings->Temp directory either. It's as if the installer was never run at all. The odd thing is that Nessus 3.0.5 installed fine several months ago on the same machine. Any ideas as to what is going on would be GREATLY appreciated. Unfortunately I can't even get any portion of the program to install, so a previous suggestion of looking at the output of "debug.vbs" won't be possible, since the only file on the system after "installation" is just the server.log file mentioned above. I really need to get this installed on this system for a network scan next week, so any help would be great.
