Use /opt/nessus/sbin/nessud -D to launch the server
Install NessusClient to get a GUI ( choose your flavor : version 1 or 
Version 3 beta )
Use /opt/nessus/bin/nessus to have a command-line run ( I use this 
rather in crontab and unattended scans)
