Dear Sir, Congratulations on great software. What Id like to do, and if I can do so surely I will register the software, is scan a range of IP's for SMTP and get the SMTP banner/greeting and save it to some log file. The goal is to discover which systems are using a specific mail server.
Ideal really would be to do a HELP command and capture results, as this lets me know if theyre using the specific mail server which we want to discover. The greeting, users can change in the mail server. Is it possible? I saw something related to this here: http://blog.tenablesecurity.com/security_center/index.html I dont have experience with port scanners and had a bit of a hard time to accomplish what I want.
