Hi,

This is a known issue -- due to how Parallels/VMware shortcuts the OS  
with regards to network interfaces,  a Mac OS X host operating system  
can't ping a VM system running on it. Disable Ping (edit the policy - 
 > options -> Ping the remote host and disable TCP, ARP and ICMP pings).
