Integration with Nessus: Nikto.pl has to be in the $ PATH user running
nessus and be configured lines. Nessusrc related Nikto in the Preferences

Modify the file */usr/local/nikto-1.35/nikto.pl* line 47
*$CFG{configfile}="/usr/local/nikto-1.35/config.txt";*
Modify the file */usr/local/nikto-1.35/config.txt* line 17
*PLUGINDIR=/usr/local/nikto-1.35/plugins*
When the nikto Nessus detected in the path and works appears in the
NessusClient "Prefs" / "Nikto (NASL wrapper)" / brand option "Full Force
(generic) scan" and also appears in the *.nessusrc*

This must be put into it. Nessusrc order to launch the nikto (script_version
( "1.8");)
*Nikto (NASL wrapper)[checkbox]:Force full (generic) scan = yes*
*Nikto (NASL wrapper)[checkbox]:Enable Nikto = yes*
And Add to *.nessusrc* plugin nessus
*14260 = yes*
These instructions arme long ago in my work.
They are for the version 1.35 of Nikto but are valid for the 2.x version of
nikto.
