What exactly are you seeing in the report? The plugin either relies on a banner or tries to login in and exploit the issue, depending on whether you have safe checks enabled. So knowing how you've configured the scan would help determine where the problem is. Also, the plugin doesn't run unless you've configured report paranoia to Paranoid, which can indeed result in false-positives.
