You don't say which type of username / password you're using, but the following information might help you: A Nessus server maintains its own set of users and passwords. There is a pre-configured username / password set up when you install the software to be used to connect to the Nessus server labelled "localhost" in the Windows client. If you changed that or wish to use something else, you need to use Nessus' User Management tool to add the user and any associated PKI-related files.
