inprotect is actually in active development. join the list and get the svn
checkout. it's made substantial changes from the 0.22.5 version
you might also look up scavenger from the folks at argonne national lab...
little different focus than inprotect.

tenable also makes Security center which does all of these stuff these ones
do and more, and is a commercial product.
