Date: Tue, 11 Jun 2002 20:43:50 -0700

Research and evalution of information is very important to the members of
this discussion group. Increasingly the internet is a major resource for
finding information. But the internet is hardly a peer reviewed journal.
Quite the opposite, the internet is laden with hoaxes, misinformation and
fraud. Jennifer Ellis has in a very readable style, quite miraculous in
itself for a publication from the legal field, put together a very
excellent article that discusses some of the ways of detecting fraud,
hoaxes and misinformation as well as providing quite a few website
listings for resources that deal with frauds or how to evaluate
information. You may want to keep the URL for this article handy and
refer to it often.

Hmm... bad designed sites.Well... I would have to say the first time I
designed a web site (3rd grade)... things blinked, spun, and all kinds of
annoying things. But for my audience (just me) - it was a great site!

After a quick searching around, http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/ seems to
keep a nice website, showing "worst" web sites. Its very intersting to look
at because when you take the "tour" you see many sites, and the author
points out what is wrong with them - giving you design suggestions.

Happy "worst site" hunting!
