If a patch is a bug fix, doesn't break anything, is applied to 5-1-patches, and
applies cleanly to 5-0-patches, then it's a no-brainer.
This patch was reworked, added to the patch repository,
and applied to 5-0-patches, 5-1-patches, and main branch.
The rework was needed because it is Solaris2 specific.
