What sort of security features did you have in mind?

The SNMP agent implements access control based on the "community string"
(in practise, a sort of password), and the source of the request.

But there's nothing like encryption of the requests, or protection
against the packet being mangled on the way.   And the community string
is visible within the PDU, so it's not exactly very secret.

For proper security features, you're really looking at SNMPv3.
