I don't believe that any of the core developers have any experience
of building the agent on this particular platform. My immediate
guess is that most of the library and client-side tools should probably
build without too many problems, although there may be some issues
relating to 32-bit assumptions in the code. Hopefully there won't
be too many of these.
Similarly, the main agent framework should probably work without too
many problems. But it's almost inevitable that there will be problems
experienced with individual MIB module code - particularly the various
'mib2' implementations. This code tends to be very O/S-specific, as
it's delving deep into the internals of O/S network statistics.
(And a quick scan of the mailing list archives seems to bear this out).
The best advice we can give is either to exclude each MIB module
that fails to compile, using:
./configure --with-out-mib-modules=this,that,the/other
or else start with a stripped down agent, and add in one MIB module at
a time:
./configure --enable-mini-agent --with-mib-modules=fingers/crossed
Do please let us know of any changes that you find are needed to
make things compile successfully, so that we can update the central
code accordingly.
