Actually, it wouldn't take much work.  The architecture is very
flexible and should allow for it fairly easily...

Writing management code with OpenSNMP has gotten pretty easy, as thats
where most of the work has been lately.  Look at the net-policy
project's np-distd code which uses opensnmp to send out SNMP SETs.
Most of the code is wrapping around the DB, not using complex snmp calls.
