Hi, We have to develop a manager that can be integrated into our own programs. So that our problems can make Get/Set/Trap against specific MIBs ( basically to turn the programs SNMP aware ).
The ideal solution would be a C++ lib that would enable us to do Get/Set/Trap. Something like taking the provided applications (snmpget/snmpset/...) and turning them into libs. My first question is: does this makes sense? For us, this looks to be better as opposed to using something like Mib2c, because it would be a more generic solution? It's either this or we haven't understood a thing about Mib2c ( which is also highly probable ) Second question: if this makes sense, do you know if there's anything already available ( commercial or open-source ) for doing this ( for Linux and preferably also Windows )? Thanks, Antonio -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
