It turns out that the gcc cross-compiler for linux does indeed define WIN32. I can only assume the same holds true for the native gcc compiler.
As for broken MingW, I think we're stuck with it. I'll make a proposal and see..
Thanks! If nothing else my local CVS is patched so it shouldn't hold up any of the Windows stuff. I really do want to get the HR MIB rolled out for Windows some day.
